Here’s how to win your chance to play at one of South Africa's biggest festivals
PHASE 2:
Our renowned panel of judges will select the top 30 finalists. 10 finalists per city.
Johannesburg: 20th March 2026
Cape Town: 27th March 2026
Durban: 3rd April 2026
PHASE 3:
The top 5 finalists per city are selected to form the top 15 finalists nationally.
Top 15 finalists go out to the public vote to determine the top 3 finalists. Public will vote here on the website.
PHASE 4:
The top 3 finalists will play at our MXD DJ search finale event in JHB.
The panel of judges will determine the overall winner at the finale event.
